Its control concept is based on the Linux operating system and offers an open microservice architecture. Its container-based technology allows various software functions to be integrated and organized. The system is future-proof thanks to the use of the latest multicore technology and real-time capable motion control – programmable via IEC 61131.

The C6 COMPACT 3 can be used for various tasks in addition to the actual machine automation. For example, it can act as a gateway between a higher-level control and a programmable control system with KEB Motion functionality. Among other things, an OPC UA server serves as an interface. Furthermore, the control can be used as HMI server device. It realizes the communication with one or more 3rd party systems and enables browsers to provide the contents via an HMI server.
