Insufficiently secured industrial cloud is a large risk for value chain partners using it. A secure cloud can easily become cumbersome to design and deploy.  A high degree of preconfiguration and automation of cloud deployments for smart manufacturing combines security with ease of use. We will report on strategies for differentiated access to data and applications (by people,equipment and software), and discuss a use case.
